This property falls entirely within the Conservation Lands System, containing Important Riparian, Biological Core, and Multiple Use Management Areas. The Sopori Wash runs through the Ranch and is one of only a few remaining shallow groundwater dependent riparian areas in Pima County. Priority Conservation Areas for the Abert’s Towhee, Bell’s vireo, western yellow-billed cuckoo, cactus ferruginous pygmy-owl, lesser long-nosed bat, Swainson’s hawk and rufous-winged sparrow are present here.
