Dear Friend,
Fifteen years ago, at the end of 1997, ER and Seinfeld were the most-watched TV shows, Bill Clinton was serving his second term as President of the United States, and the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection was on the verge of launching.
Over the last 15 years, with the ongoing partnership and support of our members and member groups, we have changed the landscape of Sonoran Desert conservation in southern Arizona forever!
Will you help us launch another 15 years of Sonoran Desert protection by making a contribution of $15 or more today?
Our goal is to raise $30,000 for the Sonoran Desert by the end of the year and your donation will help us get there!
Right now, our volunteers are tirelessly documenting wildlife through our new Wildlife Camera Project. We are working hard to protect Catalina State Park by organizing community participation around the proposed Desert Springs development. And during the recent election, we succeeded in leading the charge against Proposition 120, which was defeated by 68% of Arizona voters.
A lot has happened in the last 15 years. Our climate is changing, our technology is evolving at break-neck speed, and the Sonoran Desert is still being threatened on many fronts.
One thing that has not changed, however, is the Coalition’s unwavering commitment to protecting our Sonoran Desert in any way we can. With your continued support, volunteer hours, and voices, we hope to make the next 15 years even more productive, successful, and enduring than our first.
Thank you again for everything you do.
For the desert,
Carolyn Campbell
Executive Director
