Since our founding in 1998, we have stood up against short-sighted development — and this mission is as urgent today as when we started.
Your gift will directly fund our work to:
- Advocate with local government, developers, and landowners for existing and newly protected open spaces
- Watchdog monitor development projects to ensure they respect local conservation and open space policies
- Invest in ongoing community science to help us make stronger arguments, improve our landscape, build community and spread the word
- Input on 10, 20 and 30 year long-term land use plans across our region
- Fight against destructive projects such as Interstate 11 and mining in the Santa Rita Mountains
- Push for better connectivity between open spaces, including with research-backed wildlife crossings — we want to see a wildlife bridge spanning 1-10 near Avra Valley Road!
