Sunset at the wildlife bridge – 10th anniversary celebration!

A special event as part of Wild Connections WeekCelebrate 10 years of the Sonoran Desert’s first wildlife crossing bridge, completed in April 2016!

Featuring:

  • Special guests Pima County District 1 Supervisor Rex Scott, the Town of Oro Valley Mayor Joe Winfield, and more — including our friends from the Tortolita Alliance and Sky Island Alliance;
  • A seed ball making station hosted by Reid Park Zoo;
  • A cake cutting, toast, and other light refreshments;
  • Guided walks on the wildlife bridge.

This is a rare chance to see and explore Southern Arizona’s only wildlife bridge and hear about its successes.

When: Friday, April 17, 6:00 PM -7:30 PM

Where: Next to the Ann Day Memorial Wildlife Bridge in the Catalina-Tortolita Mountains wildlife linkage

Access: Expect a short walk uphill on gravely terrain to explore the top of the wildlife bridge (up to .25 miles round trip). A portable restroom will be available.
