I am excited to join the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection this semester as the Wildlife Data Intern to help create the 13 year report for the Oro Valley wildlife crossing project. I am in my final semester getting my B.S. in Environmental Science at University of Arizona.
Previously, I worked in a greenhouse researching aquaponic systems for implementation in Kenya. I also helped organize the International Symposium on Tilapia Aquaculture which took place last November in Thailand.
I look forward to learning more about our home and how to keep our vast landscape connected despite rapid urbanization. Coming from New York I know what it’s like to feel as if life is separate from nature. The work the Coalition does is vital to protect our access to the desert.
