Lens on the Land in Tubac!

This week, Save the Scenic Santa Ritas is presenting the Lens on the Land project in Tubac. Through beautiful photographs, this project highlights what is at stake with the proposed Rosemont Mine. The stunning images portray the land, people, and beauty of this special area that will be severely degraded if the mine is approved.  There will be a special reception on Friday, May 2nd, at 6pm. This will include a screening of the film “America’s Western Soundstage in Peril”.  This is a great opportunity to learn about the impacts of the proposed mine, appreciate the beauty of the area, and learn how you can get involved to protect the Santa Rita Mountains.

Exhibit Dates: April 29th – May 1st

Location: Reservation Creations gallery, 10 Camino Otero, Tubac, AZ 85646 (1 block north of Plaza Road)

Hours: 10 am – 5 pm

Exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

This exhibit will also be at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library from May 5th-31st.
