UPDATE/NO ACTION NECESSARY: $45 Million for Critical Wildlife Connections in Regional Transportation Plan

csdp_gopherus-102005.jpgThe Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) citizen's advisory committee approved recommending an additional $20 million dollars for Critical Wildlife Connections for a total of $45 million! The official RTA board, comprised of jurisdictional representatives in Pima County, green lighted the project as it was recommended by the citizen's advisory committee.

We would like to thank those of you who sent in your comments showing support for the increased funding for the Critical Wildlife Connections category. There were a good number of comments that were sent in support of increased funding for Critical Wildlife Connections. These linkages are an integral part of the regional conservation planning we are striving for within Pima County.

Stay tuned for other ways to help!
